I just saw your ad during Monday Night Football. The commercial looked great, as does the website. You're doing an excellent job getting the word out about the need for volunteers. I'd be interested in finding out how the response has been. Keep up the good work.
Great site. I see the overall picture as I'm a volunteer Chief and a Career Lieutenant a town over. The volunteers are still a vital part of the fire service and need to get as many to join the departments all throughout this country. I'm suprised that there are not more career firefighters laid off due to the budget constraints now a days. Good luck with the recruitment and retention in Chester County!!!!!!

Our town has four volunteer fire companies and we are always looking for new volunteers. I've been a volunteer for 35 years, and as long as I'm able I'll continue to serve. My father and grandfather were members, and there are many of us with the same heritage. Good luck with your membership drive.

I like your idea of advertising! I can see it helping to get new firefighters for a fire company.
I would like to be apart of something. Something different for a change that can help people and benefit myself in the process. This is my first time ever trying something like this, but I think I can handle the new experience and would like a chance.

I am happy in my profession but would always like to do more. I might be interested in Fire Police if that's an option. The area needs as much help as possible with the current arson situation.
Anyone who is interested in joining with either their local Department, or any other Department, I urge you to simply either call the station, or go up to the station and pick up an application. Once you return this application, the process of joining starts. Most stations will take care of the training issue. You can also find out about joining via the station's website as well.
The process, I must admit isn't always fast, but it's well worth it. And right now, Chester County as a whole is hurting for firefighters. Take it from someone who is currently in this process (yep I am in the middle of the process and I dont regret it one bit), it is worth it.

Its refreshing to see something of this degree of excellence in Chester County. I think it will continue to be very effective. I would also like permission to add a link to the video presentation from my web-site.
Thanks,

Great idea! Congratulations on your grant award. Hopefully this will increase the ranks of the volunteer firefighters who save the communities and state millions of dollars each and every year on taxes and additional funding.

I have recently tried to re-enlist in the Marine Corps after being discharged in 1996. The high risk of being deployed is a concern of my wife so I am trying to serve in another way. I would love to become a part of Chester County's team.
Good luck in your search for volunteers!
Volunteer Fire departments all over the country are in need. Unfortunately the original firefighter (the volunteer) is a dying breed. Quite amazing considering the current economic state and the clamp down on budgets all over the counrtry.
I am currently serving as a Lieutenant and Secretary/Treasurer of Safford Fire Department, Safford, AZ. SFD is a municipal fire department serving the City of Safford, AZ and a 105 square mile fire district. SFD currently has 31 members.
I am also the current Past President of Volunteer Fire Fighters of Arizona (www.vffaz.org) and served as President of that organization 2004-2008.
Once again good luck!!!
Congradulations, all of the marketing tools look professional. Great campaign for Chester County. Thank you to all for the hard work!

This is a great idea. I've looked into a massive campaign for Bucks County and currently working on that. I would be interested in hearing from the chairman of this project to review your results. Stay safe.
